The Heart of UpDog
While we have been friends for years, it all changed when we took sewing class in 7th grade. We soon hit on a creative idea — upcycling retired coats — that combined our love for animals and sewing to help our community. What began as a side project grew into a movement. We now collect jackets from our community that we upcycle into coats for dogs. We donate these jackets and proceeds from them to animal welfare organizations, providing warmth and comfort to rescue dogs and reducing textile waste to help the planet.
